2. Sculptra is a sugar molecule that you already have in your body. It has been used in surgery since the 1960’s. Sculptra has been extensively used to stimulate facial collagen production in Europe & has received FDA approval for facial rejuvenation several yrs ago.
WHAT ARE THE RISKS?
3. There’s a small risk of forming pea size nodules below the skin, which represent collagen reaction to Sculptra. When this occurs, it is typically not visible & not tender & most often requires no treatment. There’s a small risk of swelling or a bruising at the injection sites, no different than any other injection..
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
4. Although the usual charge is $900-$1100 per vial, you will pay less because we get manufacturer’s discounts as a result of our high volume Sculptra usage.
HOW ARE THE INJECTIONS PERFORMED?
5. Once our expert determines that you are a good candidate for Sculptra, he will coat your skin with a topical anesthetic. He uses a fine needle and a distraction device, making your injections well tolerated.
WHAT LIMITATIONS ARE THERE AFTERWARDS?
6. Immediately after your session you will receive instructions on how to massage the treatment areas, which you will need to do for 5 days. You may apply ice to minimize the risk of swelling & bruising & avoid strenuous activities for the rest of the day.

3. There’s a small risk of overcorrection of the wrinkle or getting too much swelling. Although it’s rarely necessary the product can be reversed with an injection of a material that immediately breaks down the Juvederm. There’s a small risk of swelling or a bruising at the injection sites, no different than any other injection.
WHEN WILL I SEE THE EFFECT AND HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
4. Your full effect may take up to 10-14 days Juvederm lasts from 9-12 months, depending on your treatment area(s).

5. It is sold in a 1ml syringe, which typically costs around $500. You may require more than 1 syringe depending on your needs and your goals.

If you are undergoing lip augmentation he will also inject the nerves in your mouth. Within 5 minutes, you will be numb. 7. There are no special precautions after you receive Juvederm. You may want to apply ice and avoid any strenuous activities for the first 24 hours to minimize the risk of swelling & bruising.
